Paddle the Tsolum River from the Inland Island highway to Lewis Park

Meet at Lewis Park ready for a 10 am departure. Trip terminates at Lewis Park so a car shuttle will be required.

 This trip is rated class 2 intermediate moving water canoe day trip.

The Tsolum is a good beginner river and rated class 1. There will probably be logjams and /or strainers so paddlers should be comfortable with back ferries, eddy turns and safely entering/exiting a canoe.

Meet at Fred Constable’s home 4764 Kilmarnock Drive.  South on 19A past Kingfisher, turn left onto Spindrift and right onto Kilmarnock Drive.  Parking  along driveway

Canoe/kayak 1.  Meet at Fred’s at 9:30 am for a 10 am departure returning about 3 pm. Guided walk re: flora across the island, lunch on the sandy beach – good place for a swim.
